Description

Close-up of a US flag waving at the base of the Washington Monument in Washington, DC at dusk with a dramatic blurring effect. I used a slow shutter speed (1/30 sec) and flash with a slight sideways movement of my camera to create this effect. The very short duration of the flash effectively froze anything within its range while everything beyond the range of the flash was blurred.
